Cloud Shadows 2013-ongoing

Films made in collaboration with artist Ismini Samanidou and exhibited at The Elizabeth Shaw Gallery in Ogden Utah. The Cloud Shadows films are an ongoing series that use the possibilities of digital video to explore weaving as a compositional method. The material of the films is taken from textiles filmed in motion and layered according to simple procedures.

Cloud Shadows 1 and Cloud Shadows 2 have a soundtrack constructed from the electromagnetic fields generated by the electronic parts of the weaving loom. The edit version of Cloud Shadows 2 has a soundtrack created for the exhibition from musical performances.
